The coronavirus pandemic is no doubt one of the biggest humanitarian crises in history that the world is grappling with. Spreading like rapid fire, it has compelled governments to impose nation-wide lockdowns to contain the spread of the deadly virus.

In India, public health systems are being stretched to handle the situation and as we all know there is a dearth of infrastructure and necessities like adequate protective gear for health workers, sanitizers, ventilators and other medical equipment for the afflicted.

The nationwide lockdown has rendered a huge section of our population jobless, primarily the unorganised sector. Millions are homeless, stranded, starving and highly exposed. Despite measures being taken by the government to combat the situation, there is still much left to be done.

Many organisations and individuals have already put themselves at the forefront to combat these issues and uplift those less privileged.
